That’s because remote controls work by using infrared (IR) signals, which can only work through line of sight. That’s why you need an IR extender, like the BlastIR Wall Plate Kit. This kit will provide all the parts you need to extend your IR signal to wherever you are hiding all of your equipment. That way you get the clean, professional look you want, but you are still able to use all of your remotes to control your home theater experience. After installation, all that you see is a small wall plate.
