Ichiro received votes from 393 of the 394 eligible voters, achieving a 99.746 percent vote share, and became the first Japanese player inducted into the Hall of Fame. He recorded a total of 3,089 hits over 19 years, and in 2004, he set the all-time record with 262 hits in a season. Furthermore, when he debuted with the Mariners in 2001, he achieved the remarkable feat of simultaneously winning the batting title, stolen base title, Rookie of the Year, and MVP awards.
